Port Moody man arrested after allegedly threatening bus driver

A 22-year-old Port Moody man found with a concealed knife was arrested after allegedly threatening a Coast Mountain Bus driver Oct. 7.

Port Moody Police said shortly after 5 p.m. a bus passenger called 911 and reported that two men had apparently threatened to stab the driver.

The bus was stopped in the 3000 block of St. Johns Street and the 22-year-old was charged with uttering threats, carrying a concealed weapon and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public. He was eventually released on a promise to appear with numerous conditions, said Const. Luke van Winkel, PMPD spokesperson.

The second male, also 22 and from Coquitlam, was released without charges.
