Port Moody does its own take of 'The Crawl' with Art Shuffle

Take a peek inside artists studios: The Art Shuffle returns to Port Moody to showcase the work of more than 100 artists.

Don’t “Crawl” this Friday night — "Shuffle" instead.

Explore Port Moody’s vibrant arts scene, talk with creators and shop for original wares at the annual Art Shuffle, a walk similar to the Eastside Culture Crawl Festival in East Vancouver each November.

More than 100 visual artists and performers — many of them with international credits — are taking part in the 2024 Art Shuffle on June 14 at 24 locations around the City of the Arts, including in galleries, studios, retail stores and eateries.

A free event organized by volunteers, the Art Shuffle is a self-directed stroll happening from 4 to 9 p.m. in Moody Centre and along Murray Street. There will be a DJ and live music along the route, as well as:

  • an immersive electronic art experience at Impact Arts Centre
  • performances at POMO Museum
  • artisans and groups at Kyle Park and Queen Street Plaza

An all-ages gathering, the Art Shuffle will also have art activities and games, demonstrations by artists and a street market.

Co-organizer Janice Cotter told the Tri-City News the Shuffle has nearly doubled since it started in 2018.
