Last Saturday's (June 18) leaden skies brought a sense of the Scottish Highlands to Coquitlam's Town Centre Park.
But it was the skirl of bagpipes, the grunts of burly men and women hoisting and tossing heavy objects and lively jigs of Celtic music that gave them life at the return of ScotFestBC.
The event included piping and Highland dancing, as well as heavy throwing and lifting contests like the caber toss.
There was also live entertainment from an assortment of Celtic groups on two stages and multinational acts on the Heritage stage.
