Seven artists picked up their paintbrushes tonight, Friday, Oct. 13, for a watercolour battle at a Port Coquitlam brewery.
The live portrait event at Taylight Brewing was hosted by the PoCo Arts Council, as a part of the program for the 2023 International Watercolour Summit, which has attracted painters from all over the world and is taking place from Oct. 12 to 17 in Port Coquitlam.
The seven artists taking part in tonight's "battle" were: ZhiGang Zhu, a Chinese artist living in Canada, Surnoor Singh, originally from Punjab, India, Danni Liu, a resident of New South Wales, Ingrid Lefevre of Belgium, Ting Zhao, a resident of Port Moody, Taaye Wong of Vancouver, and event organizer Coral Ye Chen.
Over 50 spectators in attendance voted for the winner of the event.
