The sun sets on a new day over the Burrard Inlet in Port Moody.

The Editor:

The silent majority has witnessed the crumbling morale and fiscal decline of their beloved City of Port Moody over the past four years.

With the scandal of the outgoing mayor always lingering and the constant power plays and oppositional management strategies dividing the council, it has been a trying time.

Real work was often overshadowed by pettiness and power plays hindering the ability to move the city forward.

This climate of fear mongering, and bullying has also divided us in the weeks leading up to the election.

Enough.

A return to civility and good governance is necessary for the well being of Port Moody moving forward.

I urge everyone who has remained silent, to get out and vote.

Make a difference.
