Letter: Good job, Coquitlam, on choosing to repurpose the works yard

This letter writer hopes Coquitlam's efforts to cut back costs on bigger projects will inspire other municipalities to do the same.

Re: Citing cash crunch, Coquitlam opts to repurpose fleet building (Sept. 12, 2024)

Good for the City of Coquitlam in repurposing the works yard building.

Hopefully other cities will take note of your effort to cut back on costs the way you are doing this.

In this time of extremely high costs of material, labour, engineering, etc., this shows your commitment in managing the city's cost which, in turn, shows the residents of Coquitlam you care about expenditures.

I have confidence that the end result will be suitable for your requirements for years to come.

As a resident of Coquitlam, we all are under the gun with rising costs these days and it’s great to see the city doing their best re: works yard costs.

Good job.
