Facing the facts about one's personal finances is key to financial literacy.
Now there's a free program in Coquitlam to teach adults basic money skills.
Offered through the Family Services of Greater Vancouver, Money Skills is designed to help adults increase their knowledge and confidence in the tasks of daily money management.
The topics include budgeting, banking and credit.
It is free and runs Saturdays, Feb. 25, March 3 and March 10 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the Heritage Room at Place Maillardville, 1200 Cartier Ave., Coquitlam.
The program is geared to adults 18 years and older.
