Korean war vets remembered in video

A locally-made video acknowledging the sacrifices of Canadian veterans who fought in the Korean War is circulating just in time for Remembrance Day.

The video was produced by Guy Black, an advocate for Korean war vets who lives in Port Moody, and Geoff Scott, board chair and programming producer of Tri-Cities Community Television. It shows Coquitlam school children, Korean War vets, politicians and the North Shore Search and Rescue Team talking about why it's important to remember the contribution of Canadian veterans who fought in Korea.

According to Black, the video was created because Canada has declared 2013 to be the year of the Korean War Veteran to mark the 60th anniversary of the ceasefire.
