It appears motorists in Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody will be paying roughly the same price for fuel regardless of where they stop in the region.

The Tri-Cities' cheapest gas price did not move a cent in the last week, but it's still only available to specialty cardholders.

Costco in Port Coquitlam is selling fuel once more for $1.74 per litre, as of this publication, Aug. 9, according to GasBuddy.com's latest report (see list below).

However, the next best number is $1.76 per litre at the St Johns Street Chevron in Port Moody — a five-cent dip compared to its offer of $1.81 per litre.

The region's average price for gas is currently $1.78 per litre, which is a dip of four cents from $1.82 per litre for the B.C. Day long weekend.

Metro Vancouver's cheapest price for gas sits at $1.70 per litre at Super Save Gas along 200 Street in Langley.

B.C.'s most affordable price is roughly 85 km east of the Tri-Cities: $1.61 per litre at multiple locations in Chilliwack.
