Most gas stations across the Tri-Cities are offering just over $1.80 per litre for local motorists ahead of the B.C., Day long weekend.

There's one outlet that's giving drivers a break at the pump, but it's members-only.

Costco in Port Coquitlam is selling fuel for $1.74 per litre, as of this publication, Aug. 2 (see list below).

That's seven cents cheaper than the next best available, according to GasBuddy.com's latest report, at $1.81 per litre.

The most expensive gas in the region is currently $1.85 per litre at the Prairie Avenue Petro-Canada.

The Tri-Cities' average price is $1.82 per litre. For comparison, that's four cents more than $1.78 per litre in Burnaby, but one cent less than $1.83 per litre in New Westminster.

Metro Vancouver's cheapest price for fuel sits at $1.69 per litre at the Fraser Highway Canco in Surrey — less than 30 km east of the Tri-Cities — the only station at less than $1.70 per litre in the region.

The most affordable in all of B.C. is $1.62 per litre at Costco in Kamloops.
