Grand prize pick in hospital lottery is a Coquitlam home

This Burke Mountain home is one of 11 the winner of the 2025 Choice Lottery can pick as their prize.

A lottery launched this week to benefit BC Children’s Hospital Foundation has one of its prize homes in Coquitlam.

The 2025 Choice Lottery has 11 homes for the grand prize winner to choose from, including a townhouse at 3550 McVicar Crt. on Coquitlam’s Burke Mountain.

Valued at more than $2.6 million, the grand prize includes $1 million, a five-bedroom, 2.5-bath home, plus $60,000 cash for furniture, a 2025 BMW X5 xDrive 50e, a 2025 KIA Sportage HEV EX, $75,000 in Travel Best Bets gift cards, and groceries and gas for a year.

Alternatively, the winner can pick $2.3 million in tax-free cash.

As well, there are 51 early bird prizes valued at more than $300,000.

Tickets are on sale until April 12, 2025, or while supply lasts.

Proceeds from the lottery support research projects at the Vancouver hospital.

"By purchasing a Choices Lottery ticket, you’re advancing paediatric research and care at BC Children’s Hospital,” said Malcolm Berry, president and CEO of BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, in a news release.

“Seventy percent of researchers at our hospital are also clinicians — which allows them to quickly translate discoveries from the lab to the bedside.”
