Procrastinating Christmas shoppers might find some relief for their seasonal stress at a special winter market being held at the Site B community and event space (3012 Murray St.) on Friday, Dec. 13.
The market, that runs from 4 to 9 p.m. will feature unique holiday gifts, homemade crafts and artisanal goods from more than 40 local vendors. There will also be food trucks to help fill your belly or just take the hunger edge off.
Admission is $5, but kids 12 and under get in free and dogs are also welcome.
The market is produced by Langley-based Collective Markets that runs similar seasonal pop-ups at Site B as well as other locations like the Pitt Meadows airport.
The company said it’s especially important to support small, local businesses when so many are facing economic challenges.
“Behind each small shop is a family, a dream and people working hard to keep the lights on and food on the table,” said a statement on its Instagram page.
“Shopping small isn’t just a trend — it’s a lifeline.”
Site B is a former industrial warehouse that's been reimagined as an event and community gathering space by former high tech entrepreneur Chris Peacock, in conjunction with a co-working facility on the building’s mezzanine floor.
