Do you love The Beatles?
Evergreen Cultural Centre in Coquitlam is hosting a special acoustic night that will serve as a musical tribute to the beloved band.
On Saturday, Oct. 22 at 7:30 p.m., The Wahs, a Vancouver-based folk pop trio featuring Cam Wilson, Andy Hillhouse, and Brent Gubbels and collaborators LJ Mounteney, Allan Dionne, and David Gibbons will get together for a "Get Back Unplugged" concert.
According to a news release, the show began when The Wahs saw the recent Peter Jackson-produced documentary about The Beatles' famous Get Back recording sessions and rooftop concert.
With the warmth of voices in five-part harmony and the simple beauty of acoustic instruments, the special project is set to revisit some of the most popular songs of Beatles' later period.
The release also noted while these six beloved musicians in B.C. don't try to imitate the "Fab Four," they will bring these classic songs to life using their own unique authentic voices.
Tickets are $37 for adults, $34 for seniors and $16 for students, including those at post-secondary schools.
