Lane closures on Clarke Road at Seaview Drive in Port Moody will remain in effect into April as Evergreen Line tunnelling work continues in the area.
The tunnel boring machine is currently under Clarke at Seaview and crews will be drilling boreholes from the road to check the grout wall that was built earlier this month.
The hours of work are from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. from Monday to Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday if necessary, and a minimum of one lane in each direction is being maintained at those times. The speed limit is reduced to 40 km per hour while work is underway. Noise related to construction will include drilling, cement trucks and heavy machinery.
The Evergreen Line project is taking precautionary measures to ensure the public is safe and to reduce chances of any more sinkholes in the area.
