You might call it a pub crawl for a good cause.
And you can do it on your own schedule.
The Rotary Club of Coquitlam has launched its third Find the Perfect Pint Tour fundraiser that supports mental health initiatives and other projects in the community like the StarFish lunch pack program tor kids in elementary and middle schools.
The self-guided tour features 10 breweries and one pub from around the Tri-Cities as well as further afield in Burnaby and Pitt Meadows.
Beer lovers 19 and over are able to purchase a special booklet for $50 with vouchers for each of the 11 participating establishments. The vouchers are good for one beverage up to the dollar amount stated for each brewery or pub.
Stephen Niven, of Coquitlam Rotary, said the vouchers are worth about $110.
“For a beer lover, it’s a great thing,” he said, adding there’s only 350 booklets available.
The participating establishments are (in alphabetical order):
- Dageraad Brewing
- Foamers’ Folly Brewing Co.
- John B Pub
- Mariner Brewing
- Parkside Brewery
- Patina Brewing Co.
- PoCo Brothers Brewery
- Rewind Beer Co.
- Taylight Brewery
- Twin Sails Brewery
- Yellowdog Brewing Co.
Each of the vouchers is good until April 30, 2025.
The booklets can be purchased online and during the current postal strike, Rotarians will arrange to deliver them directly.
