Coquitlam RCMP warn public after man escapes while on escorted day trip

Coquitlam RCMP is warning the public not to approach a man who escaped while on an escorted day trip from the Colony Farm Forensic Psychiatric Hospital.

Coquitlam RCMP is warning the public not to approach a man who escaped while on an escorted day trip from the Colony Farm Forensic Psychiatric Hospital.

Kristopher Leclair was at the Wendy’s/Tim Hortons restaurant at 1450 United Blvd. in Coquitlam when he slipped away. He was last seen at a bus stop at the corner of United and Millside Street at 10:20 a.m., April 15.

Leclair is described as:

  • Caucasian
  • 5’7” tall
  • Light brown buzz-cut hair
  • Blue eyes
  • Short, brown beard
  • Walks with a distinct limp

He was last seen wearing:

  • White Nike T-shirt
  • White polka dot Nike shoes
  • White Air Jordan ball cap
  • Long, white baggy basketball shorts

Leclair also has several visible tattoos, including:

  • Crucifix under his left eye
  • Two tear drops beside his right eye
  • “True fate” across his right fingers
  • Sleeve tattoo on his right arm
  • Large crucifix tattoo on his back visible through his shirt

“Police are asking the public to be on the lookout,” said RCMP media relations officer, Cpl. Justin Bauer, adding if Leclair is spotted, he should not be approached and to call 911 immediately. They can also call the Coquitlam detachment at 604-945-1550 and quote file number 2025-9129.
