The Coquitlam RCMP is seeking the public's assistance in locating a missing 74-year-old man visiting from Iran who disappeared on Sunday.
Police were notified after Jafar Imanpour did not return from what was supposed to be a 15-minute walk in the Toronto Street area of Port Coquitlam, shortly after 5 p.m.
He is described as an Iranian male, five-foot 11-inches tall weighing approximately 190 pounds. He has balding white hair, a white mustache and was last seen wearing a dark blue baseball hat, black jacket, blue jeans, black runners and glasses.
When he left the home he did not have his wallet, money or a phone.
Imanpour does not speak any English and does not know anyone in the area other than his family. He is known to frequent Starbucks in Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam and his family said he does not suffer from dementia or alzheimers
