A Port Coquitlam man has been charged with sexual assault involving an underage person and Coquitlam RCMP believe there may be more victims and witnesses who haven't spoken to police.

Early this month the sex crimes unit received information of an alleged sexual assault that took place in December and initiated an investigation.

"Through the investigation we found [the suspect] was involved in a few other allegations," said Cpl. Jamie Chung. Those allegations involved a number of victims, also under 16 years old, dating back to April 2014. Chung would not disclose whether they are male or female.

On Feb. 13 a 38-year-old PoCo man, who sometimes goes by the alias "BK," was charged with sexual assault, three counts each of sexual touching of a person under the age of 16 years and uttering a threat, drug trafficking and possession of a controlled substance.

Police are releasing the man's photo because investigators believe there may be additional victims.

Kevin Craig Thomas remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 25.

Anyone with information is asked to call Const. Shannon Lopetinsky of the Coquitlam RCMP sex crimes unit at 604-945-1550 and quote file number 2015-3973 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or www.solvecrime.ca.
