Coquitlam RCMP looking for witnesses to crash on Blue Mountain

Coquitlam RCMP want to speak to anyone who may have witnessed a serious crash on the morning of Sunday, March 8. At about 1:20 a.m. a Coquitlam man in his 20s was driving a black two-door Nissan 370Z northbound on Blue Mountain Street.

At about 1:20 a.m. a Coquitlam man in his 20s was driving a black two-door Nissan 370Z northbound on Blue Mountain Street. He lost control for unknown reasons and hit two parked vehicles, a concrete retaining wall and an electrical post before coming to a stop at the intersection of Blue Mountain Street and Regan Avenue.

He suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital in critical condition. The dog that was in the car at the time of the collision suffered non-serious injuries and is being cared for at a local animal shelter.

It's unknown if speed, alcohol or drugs were involved and police continue to investigate the collision with the assistance of the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service.
