Coquitlam RCMP is looking for the public’s help to identify a suspect in a series of sexual assaults in the city earlier this month.
Five incidents where a male inappropriately touched the buttocks of women as they were walking occurred in the Burquitlam area Wednesday, Dec. 4 and Thursday, Dec. 5, between the hours of 3:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Two more similar incidents occurred Friday, Dec. 6, in Glen Park at 1158 Pipeline Rd.
After all the incidents, the suspect fled on foot.
He is described as:
- a light-skinned male
- 20 to 30 years old
- 5’7” to 6’ tall
- slim to medium build
He was described as wearing:
- plaid jacket
- hoodie sweater underneath with the hood up
“Public safety is our top priority and our officers are working diligently to identify and locate this individual,” said RCMP spokesperson, Sgt. Alexa Hodgins. “We are asking anyone who may have witnessed these incidents or who may have experienced a similar incident to contact our investigators.”
Hodgins said Coquitlam RCMP’s victim services department is working with the victims.
