Renovations of the front counter at the Coquitlam RCMP detachment have been completed close to 12 weeks after construction began.
The work was necessary, according to the Mounties, in order to comply with RCMP policies regarding building security and to improve the workspace for customer service delivery.
The project was initially expected to take only six weeks to complete, however construction delays close to doubled the work time.
Most front counter services were offered during the course of the construction and it operated during regular hours.
