The city of Coquitlam is seeking input from industrial and commercial property owners as part of its review and consolidation of its industrial zones.
In a press release, the city said it is hoping to replace its current nine industrial zones and consolidate them into three categories. Staff said the changes will provide a broader range of permitted actives and increase flexibility for the property user.
Industrial property owners, realtor and other stakeholders are invited to attend an information meeting on July 24 between 3 and 7 p.m. in the lobby of the Hard Rock Casino (2080 United Boulevard). Participants will be able to ask questions of staff and learn more about the industrial zoning in the city.

POIRIER PARKING
Finding a parking spot in the Poirier area of Coquitlam may be a bit more difficult while construction gets underway on the city's new dry floor facility.
People attending recreation, special events of the farmers markets are encouraged to use some temporary on-street parking along Winslow Avenue west of Poirier Street. Parking is also available at:
640 Poirier Street (Poirier administration building);
at the tennis courts (entrance for Foster Avenue);
at the Poirier Sport and Leisure Complex;
Dogwood Pavilion;
and on the east side of Poirier Street between and around the pool and the library.
