Coquitlam Centre is bringing in celebrity look-a-likes and a social media campaign to amp up the spring shopping season.

The fake famous faces will be togged out with fashions from stores who emulate their 'celeb' style. New Image College of Fine Arts is creating the transformation featuring the season's hottest looks

The celebrity look-a-likes and stores have been kept a secret so customers are encouraged to follow Coquitlam Centre on Facebook and Twitter for hits about the appearances. Once participants figure out which celeb look-a-like will be where and at what time, they will have a chance to win $10,000 in weekly prizes, such as store gift cards, iPads, iPhones 4S and Itunes cards.

"This unique campaign is designed to reach Coquitlam Centre's secondary target market (16 to 24 years old) who are mobile, on social media, and love celebrity news," said Coquitlam Centre marketing director Deborah Stetz. "This is a new approach for us and we are looking forward to engaging with our customers with this fun and interactive contest."

Meanwhile style expert Catherine Dunwoody will be showcasing the latest spring fashions every Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Pandora Style Lounge until May 5. Visit coquitamcentre.ca for the full schedule.
