A local printing company with deep roots in the Tri-Cities is celebrating its 45th anniversary.
Ampco Manufacturers Started its journey in 1967 as Ad-Print Markings Ltd. Since then, the small printing company has expanded to 100 employees, producing over $15 million in annual revenue out of a 63,000-square-foot facility in Coquitlam.
The company's main core of business continues to be manufacturing durable graphics and large format graphics and banners. It is also capable of custom assembly, material sourcing and off-shore manufacturing.
Ampco has made numerous notable benchmarks on its path despite the tough economy in the recent years. Its division, Ampco Grafix has won the Best National Sign Competition for the past three consecutive years. In addition to manufacturing large format events graphics, the division's Special Event Graphic Management team has also handled project management for large events including the Grey Cup 2011 and 2005, the 2009
World Police & Fire Games, 2010 Olympics to name a few. Ampco was recently named a Regional Finalist in Canada's 50 Best Managed Companies national competition.
