Several more employees at McDonald's locations in Metro Vancouver have recently been confirmed as having the coronavirus (COVID-19).
McDonald's Canada posted the new cases to its online tracker April 1-4, indicating the following affected restaurants in the region:
- 1701 Robson St, Vancouver: Last day the restaurant employee worked was March 28
- 12930 96 Avenue, Surrey: Last day the restaurant employee worked was March 31
- 2330 Ottawa Street, Port Coquitlam: Last day the restaurant employee worked was April 2
- 101, 1940 Oxford Connector, Port Coquitlam: Last day the restaurant employee worked was April 2
As a note, McDonald's Canada has posted the address on its site of the newest Vancouver location employee case as 1706 Robson, however, the restaurant is located at 1701 Robson on the corner of Bidwell Street.
None of the above locations are considered coronavirus public exposure sites by Vancouver Coastal Health or Fraser Health.
In addition to the Metro Vancouver cases newly posted as of April, McDonald's Canada is reporting one more case in B.C., affecting a restaurant employee in Prince George.
Currently, McDonald's Canada lists eight restaurants in B.C. where employees have been confirmed as having contracted COVID-19. Of those, six of the restaurants are located in Metro Vancouver or the Fraser Valley.
Indoor dining in the province remains suspended until at least April 19 under current provincial health orders issued March 29.
