Two people are facing charges after more than $32,000 in drugs, stolen property and cash were recovered in a Port Coquitlam home last month.
RCMP initially received a report of live ammunition improperly stored at the home — and a large quantity of suspected crystal methamphetamine — during an eviction at a property in the 1600-block of Renton Avenue.
“Police attended the residence and observed a black bike on the curb that resembled a bike stolen earlier in the month,” Coquitlam Mounties said in a press release. “The suspects returned to the house a short time after police arrived and were arrested for multiple offences, including carrying a concealed weapon.”
During the search, police also located four scooters valued at $6,000, five bikes valued at $16,300, suspected fentanyl, heroin, cocaine, crystal methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
More than $1,800 in cash was also recovered, police said.
The suspects — a 42-year-old male and a 21-year-old female — are facing multiple charges, including possession for the purposes of trafficking drugs, possession of property obtained by crime, careless use and storage of ammunition and carrying a concealed weapons.
