According to the Statement of Operations, SD43 brought in $498,507 in revenues for the year ending June 30, 2024, through provincial and federal grants, tuition, rentals and investment income — about $52 million more than the previous year.
As for expenses, it spent $477 million — or $41 million more — on instruction, district administration, operations, maintenance, transportation, housing and debt services.
Meanwhile, a byelection will be held in February to replace Coquitlam trustee Jennifer Blatherwich, who was elected in October as the NDP MLA for Coquitlam–Maillardville to replace Indepedent MLA Selina Robinson, who did not run for re-election.
