Steel band at Glen Pine

Glen Pine Pavilion will transform into the Caribbean on Friday. And you're welcome to wear flowered shirts or tropical attire and join Phase III Steel Band as it performs calypso and reggae hits at the Coquitlam seniors' centre.

And you're welcome to wear flowered shirts or tropical attire and join Phase III Steel Band as it performs calypso and reggae hits at the Coquitlam seniors' centre. Phase III's well-travelled musicians will create a fun and festive atmosphere filled with the sounds of the sand and the surf - and get people dancing.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m., happy hour begins at 5:45 p.m. and dinner is served between 6:15 and 7:15 p.m. Plenty of parking is available in the city staff parking lot on Burlington Drive.

Admission is $27 with an annual pavilion pass or $32 with no pass. To register, call 604-927-4386.

Glen Pine Pavilion, located at 1200 Glen Pine Crt., between Glen Drive and city hall, is a recreation facility for people 50 and older.
