SHIFT turns attention to Vancouver

Nick Sartore, a Pinetree secondary graduate and the artistic director of SHIFT Theatre, is hosting Don Nigro's Seascape with Sharks and Dancer, running April 11 to 20 at CBC Studio 700 (700 Hamilton St.). The play tells the story about a writer (played by Blake Cuthbertson) who rescues a drowning woman (Morgana Wyllie) from the coast of Cape Cod late at night.

The Tri-City-based company that formed in 2008 - and is known for its 1-Act Festival, which this year will run at Coquitlam's Evergreen Cultural Centre frin June 20 to 22 - recently branched out to Vancouver.

Last fall, it produced Closer at The Cultch and in January it came out with Nate and Troy: The Next Big Things at Granville Island's Carousel Theatre. Tickets for Seascape with Sharks and Dancer are available by calling 778-300-1852 or visiting shifttheatre.ca.
