Kids aged three to eight can watch the magic of puppetry in Port Moody Thursday.
The North Shore Theatre for Children presents Sleeping Beauty at 10:30 a.m. at the Inlet Theatre (100 Newport Dr.) and includes European black light-style theatre, large fabric puppets, live actors and original songs.
The play is a revival of the non-profit group's 2005 production and is written by founding member Nora Linhart, a graduate of the faculty of performing arts at Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic. Linhart also has her master's degree in puppetry and acting.
The performance features Svetlana Bardos, Haigan Day, Julia Fox, Rebecca Oben, Marika Kubinyi, Joy Castro and Michal Hovjacky.
Tickets at $8 for the 45-minute performance can be reserved by calling 604-986-7446 (cash-only pick-up at the door). For more information, visit www.puppetshows.ca.
