Otto Kamensek is the new ceramics artist-in-residence at the Port Moody Arts Centre.
Kamensek replaces James Kemp, who ended his term last month with an exhibit called Morphology, which is currently on show in the PMAC 3D Gallery.
According to a news release issued last week, Kamensek is an accomplished ceramic artist, a community volunteer and member of the Arthritis Research Centre of Canada Consumer Advisory Board.
An advocate and speaker of art and health issues, Kamensek plans to use his year-long residency to create a series about his own health challenges (he has Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis) and how it has affected his body and the world around him.
