Vin Arora, a ceramics teacher at Place des Arts, has a special pop-up exhibition at the Coquitlam venue open until March 24.
Titled Meltdown, the series “celebrates what can be cultivated, learned and harvested from perceived failures.”
And a portion of sales from his display will be donated to the Canadian Mental Health Association.
A graduate of the Emily Carr University of Art + Design, Arora explores material as a means of social cohesion, community building and inward reflection.
Meanwhile, the Maillardville facility opens three new art shows March 27: Civilian Impressions: Remnants of Conflict (Coquitlam Heritage Society); Rural Ukraine Today (Lyn Tretiak); and Figurative Abstractions (Elsa Chesnel).
