Belcarra author Diana J. Drake will sign copies of her new book for children at Chapters in Coquitlam on Friday.
This month, Drake released Ren's Treasure, a fictional tale — geared to readers ages nine to 13 — that includes themes of loss and First Nations culture.
A graduate of Simon Fraser University (SFU) in English literature and history, Drake co-wrote Between Forest & Sea: Memories of Belcarra, which received an honourable mention from the BC Historical Federation.
Drake will be at Chapters (38-2991 Lougheed Hwy., Coquitlam) at 3 p.m. on Oct. 28.
She is currently working on a follow-up novel called Ren's Gift.
