Have you ever dreamed of incorporating sustainable features into your home?

Coquitlam's Glen Pine Pavilion will host a seminar from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. on April 24 on Living Off the Grid. Trevor Billy, the city's energy manager, will share information on how he built an environmentally sustainable cabin on Texada Island. He will show photos and share details on how he incorporated a composting toilet, solar electricity, rainwater collection, local and recycled building materials, healthy interior finishes and more into his cozy cabin. He will talk about the building process, even though he had no prior construction experience, and the adventures of living in a sustainable, net-zero home.

Admission but registration is required; call 604-927-4386.
