SENIORS: Dementia covered at March 15 CARP meeting in Coquitlam

The North Fraser chapter of CARP (A New Vision of Aging For Canada) is holding a meeting for members and guests next Thursday. Do you or someone dear to you suffer from dementia? Or do you think you might be getting it? Then this meeting is for you.

Do you or someone dear to you suffer from dementia? Or do you think you might be getting it? Then this meeting is for you. Are you interested in ways to develop a healthy mind and nurture your spirit? Then this free meeting is for you.

Participants will learn how to recognize the signs of dementia and how to help people cope with it. They'll also learn simple exercises to strengthen your mind and promote mental health.

The speaker, Bill Munn, is a clinical social worker with Fraser Health who specializes in geriatric mental health. He will provide useful information and conduct a question-and-answer session following his presentation.
