A Coquitlam church will mark five decades this weekend with a 1950s-themed dinner.

The Coquitlam Presbyterian Church, located at the corner of Blue Mountain Street and Como Lake Avenue, kicks off its milestone celebrations Friday night with a 7 p.m. worship service.

Pancakes will be flipped for a special breakfast on Saturday morning, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., with coffee, tea and juice served.

And, that night, at 5:30 p.m., guests can dress up in their poodle skirts, jeans and leather jackets for a 50's meal with the congregation; entertainment will follow in the sanctuary (to save a seat, email [email protected] before April 8).

Finally, on Sunday, traditional and contemporary services will be held at 9:15 and 11 a.m. Call 604-939-6136.
