Re. Question of the Week: "Do you think Canada's May 2 federal election is necessary at this time?" (www.tricitynews.com).
Canadians have chosen unstable minority governments in the last three elections, the current one being the longest in our history. As long as we split out votes amongst four parties with differing views on what is best for Canada, an election every few years is inevitable.
A more appropriate question might be: What will it take to get Canadians to give one party a majority?
