The Editor,

I would like to send a belated thank-you to a Good Samaritan family.

On May 20, I tripped and fell on the sidewalk along Ioco Road while going to Port Moody Public Library. I dislocated my elbow in the fall (it's because of this injury that I couldn't write sooner).

A very kind young woman, Sarah, offered to drive me to the hospital. Her dog, Jasper, accepted this stranger into his car and off to the ER we went. Thankfully, Eagle Ridge Hospital was so close. Sarah stayed with me until she was certain I was in good care.

Thank you also to her husband and children, who stayed behind so that I could get to the hospital. This family was going to Stanley Park and yet they stopped to help me. I think of this family's unselfish act every day and what a blessing it was to me that day.

Sarah, your family is kind and caring and such a loving example to all.
