Re. “Letter: Coquitlam's Confucius Institute should be closed,” (Tri-City News, Sept. 25)
Anyone who doubts the nature of the Confucius Institute and it's subtle attempt to influence the attitude of Canadians towards the dictatorial government of China, the CCP, should read any or all of the following titles: The Claws of the Panda by Jonathan Manthorpe, The Red Flag by Peter Hartcher and The Silent Invasion by Clive Hamilton.
A typical CCP tactic is to ingratiate itself with the education community by offering trips to China. Anyone who thinks they can take advantage of these and not be influenced to think kindly of the CCP is being disingenuous.
