I drive a lot as part of my work and I've noticed a significant number of Alberta licence plates in and around the Lower Mainland this past year. Many of them are on big pickup trucks with business/trades logos on them but there are a lot of prestige cars as well.
I'm wondering how Albertans are able to work in B.C. with equipment that is insured in their province? I know that Albertans pay A lot less for the same automobile coverage than we do but, according to the ICBC website, "You must have a valid licence to drive in B.C. If you are a new B.C. resident, and have a valid driver's licence from another country or province, you can use your licence for 90 days... If you are a visitor, you can drive in B.C. for up to six months with a valid driver's licence from your country."
It seems evident some people are circumventing these rules and there is clearly no appetite to enforce it.
Also, don't we have any tradespeople left in B.C.?
