LETTER: There's nothing ever-green about Coquitlam

The Editor, Re. "Confusion persists over fate of the Evergreen Line name" (The Tri-City News, Aug. 27). I was reading in your paper about the possibility of changing the name of the Evergreen Line. It's about time. The name "Evergreen" is a bad joke.

The Editor,

Re. "Confusion persists over fate of the Evergreen Line name" (The Tri-City News, Aug. 27).

I was reading in your paper about the possibility of changing the name of the Evergreen Line.

It's about time.

The name "Evergreen" is a bad joke. More than that, it is a slap in our faces because Coquitlam is working very hard to eradicate every tree. You only have to take a look at Burke Mountain - thousands of trees gone, just like that.

The proper name for the SkyTrain line could be Two-City Line, for Port Moody and Coquitlam, or any other name, but nothing to do with "green" or any other environmental reference.
