The Editor:
The Terry Fox Hometown Run is a great event, but it has been implemented by simple-minded city officials in Port Coquitlam.
Dozens of dead-end communities along the route are shut in for eight hours — with the only point of egress being blocked by the run.
Hundreds of people can't get to work or to their businesses.
With no alternate parking spaces due to the run-related parking restrictions, we are all trapped.
Use the dyke or better planned routes instead of imprisoning your citizens.
