The following message is for Premier Christy Clark:
So, Premier Clark what are your plans for the taxpayers of B.C. in this new year? Could it be the reopening of Riverview that once was the only provincial mental hospital? How about reopening Valleyview 300, which was the seniors' home for people with dementia? With the fast approach of the baby boomers, Valleyview is desperately needed. The structures and foundations are already there, so let the work begin.
Riverview has a great potential to continue to meet mental health care needs in this community as well as support compatible uses and provide a place of quiet refuge open to all who wish to enjoy its beautiful trees and tranquil landscapes.
So please listen to my plea and give the people of this prosperous province a Christmas present or a New Year's gift.
We hope our prayers will be answered as soon as possible.
