The Editor,
As a frequent walker up the Coquitlam Crunch, I’ve noticed the ball fields up at Bramble Park are being watered on a very regular basis, perhaps even daily.
This watering is unnecessary and, frankly, an insult to all of those who are trying to do their part in reducing their usage of water.
The message we all hear on a daily basis is that there is no rain of any significance in sight, which is why the watering restrictions have now been elevated to stage 3.
It’s ironic that this message has not made its way to the city of Coquitlam. Perhaps you could do us all a favour and take the lead in reducing your water usage rather than having others call you out on it.
And for the record, you can still play your ball games on a dry field.
