Re. “Noise in Evergreen tunnel tough on ears” (Letters, The Tri-City News, Sept. 1).
I live in Suter Brook and our home faces southwest. Several months ago, there was a vehicle on the rails of the SkyTrain line going back and forth for several hours around 3 a.m. I was told the vehicle was scraping the rails.
Ever since that happened, the decibel level of the SkyTrain as it goes past has increased.
I have talked to numerous people in the building who have all noticed an increase in the noise. The current noise level is unacceptable.
The city and TransLink should do something about it.
