Re. “Letter: 7 p.m. frontline worker cheer is offensive to my sensibilities” (The Tri-City News, April 12)

There are a couple of critical letters about the 7 p.m. noise making that are getting a lot of attention.
On our street this tribute/connection is a very positive thing. I am waving to neighbours that I’ve never even looked at before. There’s a comfort among us shut-ins that comes from expressing encouragement and gratitude. The few critics are missing the point in this demonstration of support.
