Mael Lavigne and Mathieu Cataford added some insurance with goals in the third period for Rimouski. Jacob Mathieu opened the scoring early in the first.

Mathis Langevin made 26 saves for the win in net.

Maxwell Jardine replied for Charlottetown, and Nicolas Ruccia stopped 34 shots.

The Oceanic went 3 for 5 on the power play, and the Islanders couldn't connect on their two-man advantages.

QUEBEC CITY — Alex Mercier's goal early in the third period became the winner as Moncton held on for a narrow win over the Remparts.

The Wildcats swept the first-round series in four games.

Gabe Smith, Maxime Cote and Juraj Pekarcik staked Moncton to an early 3-0 lead in the first period.

Justin Cote had a pair of goals, and Thomas Auger added a single as Quebec rallied through the second and third periods.

SYDNEY, N.S. — Lucas Beckman stopped all 30 shots he faced as Baie-Comeau shutout Cape Breton.

SHERBROOKE, Que. — Jean-Felix Lapointe scored in double overtime as the Phoenix edged Blainville-Boisbriand.

Sherbrooke leads the series 3-1.

Robin Benoit had a pair of goals, and Louis-Alex Tremblay added another for the Phoenix.

Olivier Metcalfe and Egor Goriunov had back-to-back power-play goals for an early 2-0 Armada lead, and Ludovik Grenier added an even-strength goal near the game's midway point.
