Two life-long Coquitlam residents are seeking seats on council.
While they said they are not running as a slate, Robert Mazzarolo and Darryl Stickler told The Tri-City News they “generally agree on the issues” and have decided to combine their resources and even share a website — mazzarolo-stickler.com.
“Working together allows us to keep our costs down, while at the same time, reaching out to and communicating with more people,” said Mazzarolo, a Burquitlam resident who has worked in banking and law, in an email.
This is Stickler’s second run for council after he failed to win a seat in the 2008 campaign. He also has a financial background, working as a commercial banker, where he said he has gained experience negotiating with real estate developers.
Municipal elections will be held on Oct. 20.
