The list of contestants vying for a spot on Coquitlam council got a little longer this week.
Ben Craig said he is running to reduce the size of government and cut costs at city hall. The Maillardville resident, who has been a financial advisor for 20 years, added that council is becoming to disconnected from residents and that term limits should be considered to increase turnover on council.
"I believe the longer you serve in government, the less ability you have to come up with ideas that fall outside of the status quo," he said, calling himself an "outsider" who can make a difference. "That is where I hope I can play a big role."
