Hundreds of young athletes have been making the trek up Burnaby Mountain this week to compete at the 2023 School District 43 (SD43) elementary track and field meet.
The event is the first to be held since 2019 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
It's been moved to Simon Fraser University (SFU) as Percy Perry Stadium in Coquitlam undergoes renovations.
The meet stretches over four days, with teams of runners and field athletes from 11 or 12 schools competing for ribbons each day.
It continues today and Friday (May 25 and 26).
